The wonders of yoga have woven their way through my life for the past 20 years, but it was at my first Moksha class in 2006 when I knew I had discovered something truly extraordinary. The challenge of the posture sequences, the intensity of the heat, and the welcoming and comfortable atmosphere of the studio, all balanced perfectly upon a strong and nurturing community foundation: here, I had found an oasis.
In November of that same year, personal tragedy rocked my world to its roots, and the subsequent struggle to regain my footing has been enormous and at times, seemingly impossible. Moksha has offered serenity and gentle support and has played an integral part in my ongoing healing process.
Then, with the encouragement of my family and my Moksha friends, my path led to an incredible trip to Kerala, India in February 2010 where I proudly completed the 4-week Intensive Moksha Teacher Training Program. From there, I travelled north to explore the colourful and enchanting capital of Delhi, the awe-inspiring Taj Mahal, and the spiritually rich ancient city of Varanasi on the River Ganges.
With this remarkable life experience under my belt, I am simply delighted and honoured to be part of the teaching crew of Moksha Yoga London. In September 2014, I completed the challenging and invigorating Moksha Flow Training in Montréal and in July 2017 I was so fortunate to experience Yin Teacher Training with Paul and Suzee Grilley.
Beyond yoga, I find pleasure in reading (ravenously!), travelling, foreign and indie films, and journaling in the summertime paradise of my family’s peaceful back yard.
